Balvikas Academy, a venerable non-governmental organization with three decades of unwavering commitment, stands as a beacon of change. Founded 30 years ago, our core mission is the protection and empowerment of children, and women, especially those from underserved backgrounds. Focusing on eradicating child labour, child marriage, and gender discrimination, we tirelessly raise awareness and take tangible actions. We also promote women’s empowerment to build a cultured and empowered nation. We are working to support their livelihood through skill development initiatives that enable them to generate sound income. We also combat superstitions threatening lives in rural Maharashtra, and provide essential health awareness, particularly on HIV. Offering family counselling services, we work towards harmonizing relationships. Our comprehensive approach includes legal action against superstition promoters. Through education, support, and awareness, we strive to create a more equitable and compassionate society, ensuring the well-being and empowerment of individuals and communities we serve.
